We are a not-for-profit organisation, member of the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations. Exclusively run by volunteers, our aim is to share and promote the Catalan culture and language in Scotland.
Scotland's Catalan Centre was started in Edinburgh in 1998 by a group of mothers as a way of transmitting their cultural background to their children.
With time, the Centre has grown and evolved to become a meeting point for the Catalan and Scottish cultures. It is now a registered Charity and member of the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations, still run by a volunteer committee.
The positions in the committee are voted by all the Centre's members at the Annual General Meeting.

And to all of our supporters who help hanging posters, buying roses, washing dishes and bringing ideas, friends and fun...
Many thanks to all !
Due to a series of generalisations which appeared in the Catalan media, we feel obliged to point out that, although officially registered as a Catalan centre abroad, Scotland's Catalan Centre does not have an office nor a regular meeting space, paid staff or opening times.
Everything is organised during our spare time with the only aim of sharing and promoting a culture and country we love.
